STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Students featured here have done exceptional work in their lessons this week:
STUDENT:
Kennedy Ferguson
ACCOMPLISHMENT:
Kennedy recently started lessons in September and is very eager to improve her playing! She always has a great uplifting attitude when she comes into lessons and wants to make the most of her half hour with me. We are currently working on Kennedy's tonguing and creating more crisp and musical scales. Because of her hard work, Kennedy has already learned new notes in her third octave and continues to improve her articulation!
Previous Students of the Week:
Hannah Tannas
It doesn't matter what I hand Hannah in a lesson, she continues to show growth each time I see her! Currently we are working on playing in the second and third octave in Hannah's range and she always makes a great effort to understand my analogies and directions to get her best upper register sound. Her hard work shows and her second and third octave are speaking so clearly!
Emily Hasty
Emily did a fantastic job in her lesson this week! Her tone and sight reading have improved a lot since last year! Her efforts love of music show from her making it into the Wind Ensemble at PHHS. Emily is always eager to learn and has a high standard for her success and challenge in each lesson. Keep up the good work!
Chloe Neff
Chloe had her first lesson this past week after taking the summer off and I was really impressed by her ability to pick up where we left off! She made sure to practice a few days a week to keep up with her flute playing while we were not in lessons, and by the end of our lesson she made small adjustments to her playing that made her upper range sparkle!

MEETINGS
SCHEDULE A MEETING
Sometimes I will schedule meetings, and you can as well! Meetings are very helpful for starting a conversation about the great work your student is doing, and their potential as a musician! Meetings are also very helpful for scheduling when our next lesson will be when school goes on breaks. Have a concern or want to talk about how your student is doing? Schedule a meeting!
